Shop Design / Catalogue of Design Solutions for Retail

1. Catalogue Objective

The «Shop Design / Catalogue of Design Solutions for Retail» is an annual catalogue that highlights the most interesting design solutions to date for both standalone sales outlets and for the whole shopping centres of Ukraine, Russia and worldwide. This is a uniquely graphic handbook for everyone involved in retail business, design and shopping equipment supplies for outfitting retail premises.

The Catalogue is published under the license from Deutscher Fachverlag Publishers (Frankfurt-am-Mein, Germany). All the retail profiles are selected on a competitive basis by Publishers’ Editorial Board representatives. Each year, the Editorial Bureau in Germany selects the most topical and professional internal design solutions from among hundreds of pretenders worldwide. The Ukrainian Editorial Office, from its side, arranges a competition of the best retail solutions in the CIS.

2. Catalogue Structure

The Catalogue presents profiles of retail premises, which include a description of a certain store with the mention of its location, names of the designer or design bureau who designed it and of shopping and lighting equipment suppliers. Pictures of the premises in the Catalogue as principal components of each profile and of the publication in general aim at vividly illustrating all the components of complex retail solutions.

The Catalogue presents profiles of non-food retail outlets: garment, accessory, shoe wear etc. stores etc..

The structure of the Catalogue includes two main sections: 1) shopping flloors inside shopping centres and standalone retail outlets; and 2) shopping centres.

4. Advertising in the Catalogue

There is a number of factors impacting the overall visual integrity of any shopping floor and securing an efficient and visual display of products:

  • retail bookstores;
  • Internet book-shops;
  • advertisers in the Catalogue (by granting them free copies for distribution among VIP clients);
  • sale at specialised exhibitions and events.
